Role Overview:
The Automotive Service Advisor serves as the primary liaison between our customers and our service team. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by scheduling appointments, answering incoming calls, coordinating vehicle repairs, communicating recommendations, and ensuring every customer receives the highest level of care.
As the first point of contact for many customers, you'll represent the Paul Campanella's Auto Centers brand with professionalism, empathy, and integrity while helping drive the success of the business through outstanding service and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Experience
Deliver a warm, professional, and welcoming experience for every customer. Whether it is in person or over the phone.
Build trust by listening carefully, understanding customer concerns, and providing honest, transparent communication.
Ensure every customer interaction reflects our commitment to exceptional service.
2. Appointment Scheduling & Phone Support
Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
Schedule maintenance and repair appointments while maximizing shop efficiency.
Convert customer inquiries into scheduled appointments by educating customers on our services and value.
Follow up with customers regarding appointment confirmations and service recommendations when appropriate.
3. Service Coordination
Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle symptoms.
Partner with our technicians to review inspection results and repair recommendations.
Prepare accurate repair estimates and clearly explain recommended services.
Coordinate parts ordering and repair scheduling to ensure timely vehicle completion.
Provide proactive updates throughout the repair process and manage customer expectations.
4. Operational Excellence
Maintain accurate customer, vehicle, and repair records.
Collaborate closely with technicians and teammates to keep daily operations running efficiently.
Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally while maintaining a positive experience.
Continuously expand your product knowledge through ongoing training and professional development.
Required Qualifications:
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Professional demeanor with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong computer and technology proficiency.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in automotive customer service.
Working knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.
Experience with shop management software and digital inspection platforms.
